February 22, 2020
A new article has been recently published in “Opto-Electronic Advances journal” presenting resent work of IESL-FORTH (Crete-Greece), team.
The paper entitled “Development of a hybrid photoacoustic and optical monitoring system for the study of laser ablation processes upon the removal of encrustation from stonework” by Papanikolaou A, Tserevelakis G J, Melessanaki K, Fotakis C, Zacharakis G, and P. Pouli, demonstrate the application of a prototype hybrid photoacoustic (PA) and an optical system for the real-time monitoring of the laser-assisted removal of unwanted encrustation from stonework using IR and UV wavelengths.
We are delighted to learn that the cover page of the forthcoming issue of Opto-Electronic Advances journal was inspired by this latest article. e
Many acknowledgments to Dimitris Petrakis for his fantastic 3D design and for his great patience during our collaboration!
