Today, Theofania Xanthouli, a BSc student in the Physics department, University of Crete, successfully presented her diploma thesis titled:
“Laser ablation studies of materials used to support the paintings’ canvases; wax-resin, rabbit skin glue, and zinc oxide in oil.“

Her work was realised in the laboratories of PhoHS, where she investigated the UV laser removal of wax resin and its residues on the reverse side of canvas painting interventions.
